Beer Drinkers of America is built around meeting people, local Chapters, events, competitions, member involvement and building a nationwide community for beer drinkers.
Here are a few ways to get involved.

START WITH THE MEMBER HUB
The BDOA Member Hub is the easiest place to start.
It gives members one place to find people, connect with Chapters, update their profile and see what’s happening around BDOA.
Inside the Member Hub you can:
- Create and update your member profile
- Find members by city and state
- Find people in your Chapter
- Send messages directly to other members
- Join Chapter groups
- Follow activity from around BDOA
- Stay connected with the community
The goal is simple: Make it easier to find other BDOA members wherever you are.

FIND YOUR LOCAL CHAPTER
BDOA is nationwide, but Chapters are where the community becomes local.
Chapters bring members together for meetups, events, competitions, brewery visits, sporting events, local partnerships and sometimes just grabbing a beer together.

You can help build one.
You don’t need 20 people before contacting us. The first goal is building a founding group of five local members, and BDOA will help you work toward becoming an official Chapter from there.

PLAY, COMPETE & REPRESENT
There’s always something to compete in. BDOA runs games, national challenges, tournaments, contests and other competitions throughout the year.
Some you can participate in from anywhere in the country. Others happen through local Chapters or in-person events.

FRIDAY FUNDAY
Friday Funday is BDOA’s weekly online game competition.
Each week, members can play a selected BDOA game and compete for points, leaderboard positions and season standings.
Games are always available to play, but only scores submitted during each Friday Funday competition window count toward the standings.
Each season runs for four weeks. Points accumulate throughout the season, and the overall winner takes home the White BDOA Trivia Hat.
SHOW UP TO SOMETHING
One of the best ways to get more out of BDOA is simple: Come hang out.
BDOA and our Chapters organize different kinds of activities throughout the year, including:
From Chapter meetups and brewery nights to tournaments, sporting events, charity projects and national competitions, there are plenty of ways to actually get together with other members.

USE YOUR MEMBER BENEFITS
We’re actively building partnerships with breweries, bars and other businesses to create more benefits for BDOA members.
Depending on your area, member benefits may include:
- Brewery or bar discounts
- Special promotions
- Partner events
- Giveaways
- Member-only offers
- Chapter-specific perks
Some benefits are available nationally, while others may be built locally through individual BDOA Chapters. So always keep your BDOA membership card with you!

JOIN A COMMITTEE – HELP BUILD BDOA
You don’t have to be a Chapter President or hold a leadership title to get involved. You can join a Committee to help steer and build the community.
BDOA Committees give members a way to work on specific parts of the organization.
BEER THINKERS
Beer Thinkers focuses on ideas, improvements and the future of BDOA.
Members help develop new programs, improve the member experience, review existing ideas and help turn new ideas into actual projects.
PINTS FOR A PURPOSE
Pints for a Purpose focuses on giving back.
The committee helps develop charity projects, donation drives, community service, fundraisers and other ways BDOA members and Chapters can make a positive impact.
BE PART OF THE NEWSLETTER
The State of the Association newsletter (once every two months) isn’t just about what BDOA Headquarters is doing.
Members can be part of it too.
You can submit:
- Member shoutouts
- Stories
- Meetup photos
- Beer trips
- Accomplishments
- Something another member did that deserves recognition
- Anything else you think the BDOA community would enjoy
