About Beer Drinkers of America

A National Organization Built for Beer Drinkers
Beer Drinkers of America is a national membership organization built for people who want more than another night at the bar.
BDOA connects beer drinkers across the country through local Chapters, member events, national competitions, online communities, rankings, records, and shared traditions. Members can join or start a local Chapter, participate in challenges, attend events, represent their city or state, and help build the organization as it grows.
What started in Salem, Oregon has grown into a nationwide beer community with 2,700+ members across all 50 states.
BDOA is built for people who want beer to come with more than a drink. It is for members who want events, competition, connection, recognition, and something official to be part of.
Why BDOA Exists
Going out for a beer is easy. Finding a real community around it can be harder.
A lot of people enjoy beer, but not everyone has access to organized events, fun competitions, local meetups, or a group of people who actually want to participate in something bigger.
BDOA exists to give beer drinkers an official organization to join, represent, and help grow.
Through Beer Drinkers of America, members can:
- Join or start a local Chapter
- Attend member events, socials, and meetups
- Participate in national competitions and challenges
- Represent their city, state, or Chapter
- Connect with members through Discord and social media
- Compete for rankings, records, prizes, and national recognition
- Help shape future events, competitions, and traditions
- Be part of a growing national beer organization
BDOA is not just about drinking beer. It is about giving beer drinkers a reason to gather, compete, connect, and build something that lasts.

What We’re Building
Beer Drinkers of America is being built as a structured national organization with members across the country.
The goal is to grow BDOA state by state, city by city, and Chapter by Chapter.
The organization is built around:
- National Leadership
- Regional Directors
- Local Chapters
- Individual Members
This structure allows BDOA to support local communities while still connecting members nationwide. A member in Oregon, Michigan, New Mexico, West Virginia, or any other state can be part of the same organization, compete in national challenges, follow member rankings, and represent where they are from.
As BDOA grows, members will help form new Chapters, organize events, lead local groups, submit records, compete in challenges, and build traditions that can be carried forward year after year.
BDOA is still early, which means founding members have a real opportunity to help shape what the organization becomes.

What Makes BDOA Different
A bar gives you a place to drink. BDOA gives you something to be part of.
Beer Drinkers of America is different because it is organized, member-driven, and built beyond one location. Members are not just showing up somewhere randomly and hoping to meet people. They are joining an official organization with Chapters, events, competitions, rankings, records, and a growing national member base.
BDOA gives members:
- An official membership
- A member identification card
- Local Chapter opportunities
- Member events and meetups
- National competitions and challenges
- Online connection through Discord and social media
- A way to represent their city, state, or Chapter
- A voice in helping shape the future of the organization
BDOA is for people who want the fun of beer culture with more structure, more purpose, and more ways to get involved.

Chapters
BDOA Chapters are local groups of members who represent their city, town, or area.
Chapters give members a way to meet locally, attend events, compete together, and build a stronger BDOA presence in their community. Some Chapters may focus on meetups and socials, while others may compete in national challenges, host local events, or help recruit new members.
A Chapter can become a home base for local members.
Through Chapters, members can:
- Meet other BDOA members nearby
- Host or attend local events
- Compete as a group
- Represent their area in national rankings
- Build local traditions
- Help grow BDOA in their city or state
If there is not a Chapter near you yet, you can still become a member and help start one in your area.
Events, Competitions, and Challenges

BDOA events and competitions are a major part of the organization.
Members can participate in local events, online challenges, national contests, and Chapter-based competitions. These events are designed to give members a reason to connect, compete, and have fun beyond the usual night out.
BDOA events may include:
- Pong tournaments
- Trivia nights
- Bowling competitions
- Field goal competitions
- Card game tournaments
- Video game tournaments
- Chapter meetups
- Social events
- Remote national challenges
- Member-submitted records
Some events happen in person, while others can be completed remotely so members across the country can participate.
The goal is simple: give beer drinkers more fun ways to connect, compete, and represent their Chapter, city, or state.

Our Story:
Beer Drinkers of America started in Salem, Oregon on July 24, 2024.
What began as a conversation between friends about the lack of fun drinking options in our hometown quickly turned into something bigger. We wanted more than the same few bars and the same routine. We wanted events, competitions, records, Chapters, and a community that beer drinkers across the country could be part of.
The idea was simple: build an official organization for beer drinkers.
Not just a joke. Not just a membership card. Not just another night out.
A real community with members, Chapters, events, rankings, traditions, and opportunities for people across the country to get involved.
From the first members in Oregon to Chapters and members across all 50 states, BDOA has grown because people want something like this. They want a place where beer drinkers can meet, compete, represent where they are from, and help build something fun from the beginning.
That idea became Beer Drinkers of America.

Founder Message
I started Beer Drinkers of America because I know how frustrating it can be to want to enjoy a beer, have a good time, and feel like there are not enough fun ways to do it.
In a lot of places, the options feel limited. You can go to the same few bars, sit at the same tables, and do the same thing every weekend. There is nothing wrong with that, but I always felt like there could be more.
- More events.
- More competitions.
- More reasons to show up.
- More ways to meet people.
- More ways to represent where you are from.
- More ways to make beer feel like part of a real community.
That is where the idea for BDOA started.
I began brainstorming with my brother #002 and my buddy #003 about fun things people could do with a beer that went beyond the usual night out. We talked about competitions, member cards, Chapters, records, events, rankings, and the idea of building a national organization that beer drinkers could actually be part of.
What started as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger.
BDOA now has members across the country, local Chapters forming, national competitions, member events, online communities, and people helping shape the organization from the ground up.
I want BDOA to stay true to its original purpose: a member-driven organization built around events, competitions, Chapters, and community.
This organization is not supposed to be built by one person. It is supposed to be built by the members. If you have ideas for events, challenges, records, Chapter activities, or ways to connect members, I want to hear them.
BDOA is still growing, and early members are helping shape what it becomes.
Everyone deserves a seat at the bar.
Cheers!
Hayden R. #001
Built With Members in Mind
BDOA is still growing, but the goal is clear: build an organization that members are proud to be part of.
Member feedback helps shape future events, competitions, Chapter ideas, online activities, and national challenges. As the organization grows, BDOA will continue to focus on giving members more ways to participate, connect, and represent where they are from.
Every membership helps support the growth of the organization, the creation of new events, the development of local Chapters, and the expansion of BDOA across the country.
Responsible Community
Beer Drinkers of America is built around community, events, and connection.
BDOA encourages members to participate responsibly, respect local laws, and follow the rules of any venue, event, or community they are part of. Our goal is to build a fun, welcoming, and organized environment where members can connect through shared interests, friendly competition, and local involvement.
