Join us in Portland for The Turkey Leg, presented by Beer Drinkers of America! This social pits members against each other in a field goal kicking competition like no other. - Attire: BDOA gear encouraged! Show off your spirit for a chance to win Best Dressed prizes.

- Eligibility: Open to BDOA members, ages 21+
- The Turkey Leg is a BDOA member exclusive social. Get a membership here! A membership cost $12.99 which includes the BDOA Card, and access to socials and events.
- Membership Card Required: Members must bring and submit their BDOA ID cards for entry at the event.
Rules:
- Fair Play: No unsportsmanlike conduct or intoxicated kicking.Turkey Leg Champion. Prizes, laughs, and a cold one in hand – it’s the perfect BDOA day out!
- Drink Responsibility: Enjoy a cold one while we compete! Just make sure to be responsible and respect others boundaries!
- Three Kicks Per Distance: Choose a distance, attempt up to three kicks, and advance by making a successful field goal.
- Elimination: Miss all three attempts at a given distance, and you’re out.
- Longest Kick Wins: The kicker who makes the longest successful field goal will be crowned the Turkey Leg Champion.
- Proper Footwear Only: Athletic shoes or rubber cleats required.

Remote Entry for The Turkey Leg Tournament
Can’t make it to Portland? No problem! Enter The Turkey Leg remotely by showcasing your field goal skills on video. Here’s how to join the competition from anywhere and compete for the title of Turkey Leg Champion! How to Enter The Turkey Leg Remotely
- Include Verification: Start your video by showing your BDOA ID card for verification, and announce the distance for each set of kicks.
- Film Your Kicks: Record each kick from your chosen distance, one at a time. Show each attempt in sequence. If you miss all three attempts at a distance, move to a new one.
- Distance Marking: Clearly mark the distance of each kick in your video.
- Clipped Videos Allowed: You may combine your kicks into a single video, but keep the footage sequential with no breaks between attempts.
- Show Every Kick: For fairness, all kick attempts must be visible.
- Fair Play: No re-dos or editing tricks – we’re relying on the honor system!
- Tag Us in Your Video: Upload your complete video to Instagram or Facebook and tag @beerdrinkersofamerica (make sure your profile is public!). You can also email your video to contact@beerdrinkersofamerica.org.
