Beer Can Pyramid Challenge (June 2026)

The June BDOA member challenge is officially here.

This month, Beer Drinkers of America members will compete to see who can build the tallest beer can pyramid.

This is a nationwide competition, meaning members can participate from anywhere. You can build your pyramid at home, with your Chapter, at a meetup, or anywhere else that works.

The winning person or team will get their name on the official BDOA Championship Plaque.

How It Works

Examples of beer can pyramids

The goal is simple: Build the tallest freestanding beer can pyramid possible.

Members can enter by themselves or as a team. Once your pyramid is built, take a photo or video showing the full pyramid.

Your submission should clearly show:

• The full beer can pyramid
• How tall the pyramid is
• How many cans were used
• Who participated

How To Submit

You can submit your Beer Can Pyramid Challenge entry in one of two ways:

• Email your photo or video to: Hayden@beerdrinkersofamerica.org
• Tag Beer Drinkers of America on Instagram or Facebook

Your submission must include:

• Your name
• Your member number
• Your state or Chapter
• The number of beer cans used
• A photo or video of the full pyramid

If you are entering as a team, include the names and member numbers of everyone involved.

Rules

• All cans must be empty.
• The pyramid must be built with beer cans.
• The pyramid must be freestanding.
• No glue, tape, string, walls, or outside support can be used.
• The pyramid must be built during the month of June.
• Submissions must be sent in before the end of June.
• You can enter by yourself or with a team.
• BDOA will review submissions and choose the winner based on the tallest valid beer can pyramid.
• If there is a tie, the winner will be decided by the total number of cans used.

Donation Piece

This challenge is not just about building the tallest pyramid.

For every beer can used in the competition, Beer Drinkers of America will make a donation equal to the deposit value of the cans.

That means the more members who enter, and the more cans used, the bigger the donation will be.

After the competition ends, BDOA will add up the total number of cans submitted and make a donation based on that amount.

Important Reminder

Please participate responsibly.

Do not drink and drive. Do not overdo it just for the competition. You can save empty cans over time, use cans from friends or family, or collect cans from a group meetup.

The goal is to have fun, compete, and bring members together.

Competition Timeline

The Beer Can Pyramid Challenge runs for the entire month of June.

• Start Date: June 1
• End Date: June 30

The winner will be announced after all submissions have been reviewed.

Prize

The winning person or team will get their name on the official BDOA Championship Plaque.

This is your chance to represent your state, your Chapter, and your member number in BDOA history.
