Yes. Membership is intended for people of legal drinking age in the United States (21+). Some events may allow under 21 participants depending on location and format (Like our UNO Tournament).
No. BDOA is about beer culture and community. What you drink is up to you.
No. Participate as much or as little as you want. Membership doesn’t expire based on attendance.
Chapters are local groups of 20+ members in a geographic area. They host meetups, events, and compete nationally.
The Championship Plaque is the highest national honor in BDOA. Winners of official national competitions earn their name on the plaque, representing both themselves and their Chapter.
Membership cards are shipped via USPS in a stamped envelope (no tracking). Cards are printed every 3–4 days and typically arrive within 3–4 days after shipping. All other packages include tracking information.

This is great and I am trying to start a chapter here in the Chicagoland suburbs. I have half a dozen pubs in mind and now I need some avid beer drinkers in the area so we can get it started. great idea for a fun time.
Recently joined a few months ago, I enjoy seeing and hearing about groups and things they are doing. Hearing about different beers to try.
BDOA has been an awesome experience. Hayden #0001 Founder has been supportive in assisting getting the LA Chapter started. I’ve met members IRL thanks to the BDOA community!! Can’t wait to enjoy many future milestones and successes!

Found this group scrolling through Facebook as an add late last summer decided to buy a card for myself and a friend and next thing you know we’re 70 members deep as a chapter! 10/10 would recommend
