Beer Drinkers Of America
Beer Drinkers Of America was started in Salem Oregon July 24th, 2024. The people in the picture are some of the first members (and some of my best friends!) and all whom attended the 2024 Turkey Leg in Portland Oregon. They also attended the first event we had (T&F Tournament) They were some of the first supporters, some of whom I shared many beers with while discussing BDOA. So thank you to all of them.
I started BDOA to bring people together to enjoy a beer and have a good time. It’s a community that bring members together for events and friendly competitions. While drinking with my brother (#002) and buddy (#003) we talked about the lack of fun options for drinking in our home town of Salem. With a few bars and not much to do in any of them (I do love Magoos in Salem. They have free popcorn!) we started to brainstorm ideas for things we want to do, but with a beer.
I want the tradition of a communal approach to continue, and thus believe BDOA should be a community driven project. So if you have any ideas for the association, please reach out to me on Instagram, or by email. Together we can build something we all enjoy and can toast to.
In the mean time, I’m working on setting up ways we can communicate: Discord Channel; compete: Pong Championships; and connect: photo submission giveaways, and our weekly trivia.

BDOA Stats
With over 891 members (August 7th, 2025), BDOA has expanded to having members in all 50 states. You can see the full member list is available here it also includes a breakdown of the states. There are currently four Chapters in the association – see chapters here. Finally, we have two BDOA ambassadors.
