DESCRIPTION:Pumpkin Carving & Painting Contest\nGet creative\, get spooky\, and show us what you can do! \nBeer Drinkers of America is hosting our annual Pumpkin Carving & Painting Contest\, giving BDOA members across the country a chance to compete from wherever they are. \nCreate your best pumpkin\, submit your entry\, and compete for Halloween bragging rights. \nContest Timeline\nEntries Open: October 1–28\, 2026\nEntry Deadline: October 28 at 11:59 PM\nVoting & Judging: October 29–31\nWinners Announced: October 31 — Halloween \nContest Categories\nThere will be two separate categories: \n1. Pumpkin Painting 🎨\nCreate your best painted\, decorated\, or artistically designed pumpkin. \n2. Pumpkin Carving🎃\nShow off your best carved pumpkin\, from a classic jack-o’-lantern to a detailed or completely original design. \nHow to Enter\nThe contest is open to Beer Drinkers of America members. \nEach participant may submit one entry in each category. \nYour submission must include: \n\nYour name\nYour BDOA Chapter\, if applicable\nYour category: Painting or Carving\nA clear photo of your completed pumpkin\nYour BDOA membership card visible in the photo\n\nEntries must be submitted no later than October 28 at 11:59 PM. \nContest Rules\n\nAll entries must be the participant’s own original work.\nEntries must be created for this year’s contest and submitted during the October 1–28 entry period.\nParticipants may enter both categories\, but may only win one category.\nPumpkins may include paint\, carving\, accessories\, lighting\, and other physical decorative materials appropriate to the category.\nThe submitted pumpkin must physically exist.\nAI-generated images\, digitally created pumpkins\, or digitally fabricated entries are not allowed.\nEntries must be appropriate for a BDOA audience. Offensive\, hateful\, or otherwise inappropriate submissions may be removed or disqualified.\n\nJudging\nJudging and community voting will take place October 29–31. \nEntries will be evaluated based on: \n\nCreativity & Originality\nCraftsmanship & Detail\nHalloween Spirit\nBDOA Spirit\nOverall Presentation\n\nJudges may consider both the quality of the finished pumpkin and how well it is presented in the submitted photo. \nWinners\nOne winner will be selected in each category: \n🏆 Best Pumpkin Painting\n🏆 Best Pumpkin Carving \nParticipants may enter both categories but cannot win both. \nIf the same participant receives the highest score in both categories\, their higher-scoring entry will receive the award and the next eligible entry will receive the other category award. \nWinners will be announced on Halloween — October 31. \nMost Important Rule\nHave fun and get creative. \nWhether you make something terrifying\, hilarious\, BDOA-themed\, or completely unexpected\, we want to see it. \nHappy Halloween from Beer Drinkers of America! 🎃🍺 \nFor updates\, reminders\, voting information\, and contest discussion\, you can also follow the Facebook Event:\nPumpkin Carving & Painting Contest Facebook Event
